Belly fat loss is almost a national obsession. It is little wonder that why people all want to have a slim tummy with all images of gorgeous models surrounding us. However, studies have shown that if you have a lot of belly fat, it may spells far more serious repercussions than just looks. Your health may be at stake if you are not careful! Thus you need to take action and start your belly fat loss now.
How do you do it? Do lots of sit-ups and crunches?
I am afraid not. This is a common misconception that in order to burn belly fat, we must do tons and tons of sit ups and crunches. Although we do need to do some, the real reason why we aren’t losing those ugly fats is that we do not watch what we eat and we do not exercise enough such that we use up all the excess energy that we have due to the amount of food we intake.
Healthy lifestyle of eating healthy food and daily exercises is a must if you really want to increase your belly fat loss. Making our belly fat burn faster is really not that difficult. We need to be careful of what we eat and how often we eat. If possible, try to consume 6 small meals throughout the day instead of just 3 huge meals. And make sure we eat balanced meals that consist of low fats and nutritional food that has vitamins and minerals - include plenty of vegetables and fruits. Food that are processed or full of sugar should be avoided as far as possible.
Bottomline is that you need to make sure that the energy expenditure has to be greater than your total food intake. Besides if you increase your physical activity, you are building muscles. By building muscles, you are actually helping your body to burn fat to help fuel the energy required for the increase activities.
We need to learn how to manage stress and not let ourselves get too stressful. Why? Simply because our bodies have a mechanism that kicks in whenever it feels that it is in danger. When we are at a high level of stress, our bodies will produce Cortisol hormone which has a primary function to help us maintain energy supplies by storing fats in our stomach area. So stress can cause our body to hold on to the fats so that the fats can be used as an energy source for survival purposes.
All the above factors need to be considered when you are trying to lose belly fats to ensure a longer lasting and permanent effect. Although it looks to be simple to do, this really takes alot of discipline follow through and maintain.
