Focusing more on the eccentric portion of the exercise.
There are three distinct periods when you lift a weight : the positive, the negative and midpoint. What the positive motion or the concentric motion involves is the initial push or effort when you start the rep. At the point when you are about to reverse and return to the starting position, this is known as the midpoint and there is usually a short pause. Finally the eccentric motion or rather “negative” portion of your lift is determined by your resistance against then natural pull of the weight.

You can easily increase on size, so long as proper techniques are applied. Remember that everyone is different. Tips for helping you gain muscles mass are presented below :
Tip 1 : When you are weight training, try to use more heavy weights but with less reps. Using appropriate weight, you should only be able to do 4-8 reps.
When you are using heavy weights combined with less reps, you are putting your muscles together with the nervous system under more stress. In comparison, when you are using lighter weights and more reps, there is less effect. Try to keep the rest time in between sets around 2 to 3 minutes.
